"When it all Comes Reigning Down" acrylic and oil on board 12"x 12"
Contrary to popular belief, the human figure does appear in my work every so often.
"It's Never Black & White and There are Holes in Every Theory" oil/wood/clay 20"x 20"
"Cone Eleven Bending" oil/wood/clay 20"x 44"
"It's All So Fragile and Yet So Resilient" oil/wood/clay 44"x 44"
"Sea Lace" oil on wood 18"x 48"
Each of the Lace Series paintings are comprised of overlaying panels spaced in such a way so as to appear like they are floating. Originally inspired by the foam of ocean waves and shell fragments riddled with worm holes, the cut out shapes overlap, creating a lace like effect.
"Tree Oh!" acrylic on wood 24"x 48"
sold
My fascination with and admiration of trees continues with "Tree Oh!" It is a three dimensional wall hanging with the foreground painted to resemble a lichen spattered rock surface and the recessed panel painted a soft golden (slightly metallic) orange in an attempt to match the leaf color of a Pin Oak visible from my kitchen window in late autumn .
"Moon Dance" acrylic/wood/ clay 24"x 32"
Done here in the same style as "Tree Oh!", with clay inserts for faces, I hoped to capture the exuberance of dance and the reverance of nature.
